Mom Life

Grace

God put a word on my heart all day yesterday: GRACE. I researched it like crazy trying to truly understand it. And then out of the blue, my son starts a conversation that goes like this:

Son: Mommy, I like it when you’re nice to me.
Me: When am I not nice to you?
Son: When I’m acting rude.
Me: (laughs a little) So you like it when I’m nice to you even if you’re being rude to mommy?
Son (very frankly) Yes. Because if you are nice when I’m acting rude, I’ll give you a hug and say I’m sorry and then I’ll be nice too.

Bam! Grace! Sometimes God speaks to us through our children. This was an experience that I’ll never forget!

My child teaches me more lessons about unconditional love, forgiveness, and grace than any amount of books, quotes, or articles. All I have to do is listen.
