Two-Minute Thoughts on Faith: Come Just As You Are, My Child

“For (Jesus) has dedicated a new, life-giving way for us to approach God. For just as the veil was torn in two, Jesus’ body was torn open to give us free and fresh access to Him. We come closer to God and approach him with an open heart, fully convinced that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity, and we have been freed from an accusing conscience. Now we are clean, unstained, and presentable to God inside and out!” (Hebrews 10:20,22 TPT)

Sometimes one simple Bible verse can ground you solidly in His truths, given permission to do so. These verses remind us that we are welcome to approach our Father JUST AS WE ARE.

So much of our battle today is with identity. Who are we? Are we loved? Are we even lovable? And the answer to that is a resounding… YES! The truth is that there’s a level of love that is beyond our comprehension. The Father’s love. And while yes, I know that we desperately want to wrap logic around everything that we believe, there is simply no logic that will ever explain His level of love. And yet… it’s very real, very tangible, and very heavily poured over you.

But in order to truly walk in that love and identity, I think that sometimes we have to be reminded that it’s okay to come to Him just as we are and let Him do just that… love on us. Fill our cup back up. Remind us that we are forgiven, redeemed, and made beautiful and flawless in His eyes. MADE WHOLE.

We have to take the step to curl up at His feet or pull ourselves onto His lap and say, “Papa, I’m broken, I’m hurting… but I know you love me and I need to feel you pour it over me right now” and then have faith in the TRUTH that God always fulfills His promise to meet you right there, even barefoot and broken.

And it doesn’t matter if you feel dirty, unworthy, or like everything you have walked through has disappointed His heart. That’s our logic – our lenses – NOT HIS. He will meet you there with a love and grace that we will never understand, but is real all the same. His love. His heart.

So cry out to Him today… just as you are. And let Him pour His love, blessings, favor, joy, and honor over you! He is the same beautiful Father today and every day and His love for you is unwavering, like a beacon of hope in your storm and a steady hand all throughout your journey.

“So now wrap your heart tightly around the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises!” Hebrews 10:23 TPT

Blessings on the journey, my friends!
